The final event in the Carlene Stewart Art Enrichment Series for this season is a bus trip to Naples on Thursday, April 2nd. The first stop is the von Liebig Art Center for a short tour. There will be time for a lunch stop and a bit of shopping before the last stop at the Gilgore museum in Eagle Creek for a private tour conducted by Irma Gilgore. Their collection features 19th century Italian Art. The bus tour leaves at 8:00 a.m. and returns around 5:00 p.m. There is still room on the bus for this tour. Boca Grande Student/Member Show Opening Reception, Thursday April 2nd from 6-8 p.m. at the Banyan Street Art Center 236 Banyan Street Boca Grande. The Show continues April 3rd and 4th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sunday April 5th from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. This event features artwork created by our members is free and open to the public. Artful Gardens Plein Air Fest! |

 The spring “plein air” fest began on Wednesday, April 1st. Artists will be painting in any of the beautiful public garden areas on Boca Grande where the general public may view them at work. Some of the Exhibiting Members will be chosen to paint in the gardens featured in the Garden Club Walk which is open only to Garden Club Members. Artists may continue painting Thursday and Friday and will be required to bring their finished works to the Art Alliance on Saturday April 4th.
There will be a public “Wet Paint” Auction on Sunday April 5th at the Boca Bay Powerhouse. Artwork may be previewed from 4-5 p.m. and the auction will begin at 5 p.m. with half of the proceeds going to the Art Alliance. |

Enrichment Series Continues 
The second bus trip in the Carlene Stewart Art Enrichment Series will be on Thursday, April 2nd. We will visit the Von Liebig Art Center and the Gilgore Collection in Naples. The Von Liebig Art Center is located in Cambier Park in downtown Naples and is the home of the Naples Art Association. The Gilgore Collection is housed in the private museum of Irma and Dr. Sheldon Gilgore in Eagle Creek and we will have a special tour with Irma Gilgore.Click here for online reservations.
