Art in the Home Tour

Home-tourThe 2010 Art in the Home Tour will be held on February 18th.  The tour includes seven spectacular Boca Grande residences. Featured are the homes of: Mrs. Dodo Hamilton, David & Patty Hayes, Dr. Bill & Pat Heisel, Tom & Pat Jeffs, Jim & Sharon Rankin, Bill & Anne Lathrop, and Doug & Chris Hyde 

Don’t miss this opportunity to see some of the most beautiful homes and some of the nicest art collections on Boca Grande.

Tickets are $50 each and are going fast as we only sell 300.

The Carlene Stewart Art Enrichment Series will continue this season with the following up-coming events: (Register & Pay Online)

valFeb. 24  -  “The Untold Story” presented by Pulitzer Prize Winning Photographer Val Mazzenga

"The Untold Story” presented by Chicago Tribune photographer Val Mazzenga. His photographs have won more than 200 awards including 5 Beck Awards– the Chicago Tribune’s highest accolade. He may be the most honored photographer in Tribune history.

Mazzenga’s photo assignments have taken him all over the world covering the major news stories of the last 40 years. From Afganistan to Africa, from the Great Wall of China to Ground Zero in New York City, Val Mazzenga’s camera was capturing history. He us an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois School of Journalism and a keynote speaker. He speaks at universities and corporations throughout the country with a riveting multimedia presentation that he will share with us here on Boca Grande “The Untold Story”. www.valmazzenga.com

Mar. 24  -   American Art History  “From Folk Art to the Hudson River School” presented by Dodie Headington

American-Eden-hudson_river_schoolAll of the lectures in the Stewart Lecture Series will be presented in the auditorium at the Boca Grande Community Center from 3:30—4:30 in the afternoon. The cost for each lecture is $20.  You may either reserve your place and pay in advance or you may pay at the door.

The Carlene Stewart Art Enrichment Lecture Series is partially funded by a grant from the Boca Grande Woman’s Club.
